Translational Research

Semafore Pharmaceuticals is dedicated to transforming scientific discoveries into new and effective medicines via translational research, that is developing promising new molecules from preclinical studies to first-in-human Phase I clinical trials.

This translational process capitalizes on academic basic research and/or early stage applied research transforming biological and biochemical knowledge into candidate molecules possessing designed drug-like properties and activities.

Each of these new promising candidates is then further evaluated and past through a series of development activities (e.g., process chemistry, scale-up synthesis, formal toxicology studies, formulation studies, and the like) in order to graduate as an Investigational New Drug and be evaluated in clinical trials for proof of concept.
